Type Specimen — Special & Display Faces

A single-page type specimen for the domain-specific and display faces in the DocPayload arsenal. Each panel pairs the face with a realistic use — a diploma heading, a hand-signed name, a reviewer's note, a code block, a passport MRZ line, a bank-check MICR band — to show where it belongs, not just what it looks like.

Every face is embedded directly into the PDF (and subset when the font is large), so recipients need nothing installed.

Faces shown

  • Blackletter (UnifrakturMaguntia) — diploma and certificate mastheads, ornamental titles.
  • Signature script (Great Vibes) — hand-signed names on letters, awards and approvals.
  • Handwriting (Patrick Hand) — reviewer annotations, informal callouts, margin notes.
  • Monospace (JetBrains Mono) — code listings, checksums, column-aligned figures.
  • OCR-B — passport machine-readable zone (MRZ) and OCR form fields.
  • MICR E-13B — the magnetic-ink routing/account/check band on bank checks.

These sit alongside the text faces used elsewhere — Noto Serif (Latin/Cyrillic/Greek), the Noto script fonts (Arabic, Hebrew, Devanagari, Thai), Noto Sans CJK, and FontAwesome icons. See Custom Fonts for registration and embedding.
